Saving your Password
In order to save your login password in Windows95, you need to have the "Client for Microsoft Networks" installed in your Network Control Panel. To see if you already have the "Client for Microsoft Networks" installed, double-click on the "My Computer" icon and then the "Control Panel" icon. Now open "Network". At the top of the list should be the "Client for Microsoft Networks".
If it isn't there, click "Add". Now choose "Protocol" and click "Add". Select "Microsoft" on the left and "Client for Microsoft Networks" on the right. Now press "OK". Click on the "Identification" tab. You will need to put something in each of the three fields (Computer Name, Workgroup, and Computer Description). It can be anything you want, this information won't be used for anything. Windows95 just won't allow these fields to be blank.
Now click "OK" and then click "OK" again. You will be prompted for the Windows95 CD-ROM and then asked to restart the computer.
Once the computer restarts you will be prompted for a username and password. Enter in your Romanweb username and leave the password field blank. You will then be asked to confirm your new password, again leave both fields blank and press "OK".
Now you should be able to save your password in your Romanweb Dialer.
Note: The password will not be saved until you make a successful connection to Romanweb. You will need to retype the password until you connect successfully.
